I made a huge mistake

its been a tough 6 months for my jw hubby and myself.

next saturday is our anniversary.

i wasn't sure we would make it with the turbulance of the last 6 months.

Great effort. Your right! You did make a huge mistake.... you married a JW.

I'm taking the cross and chain back.

Why? Explain to him you have your faith and he has his. Between that and not getting you a gift i'd say seriously consider moving on.

The Elders have been demoted to Dukes

the interesting thing is par 17. it instructs the elders to not question the instrutions they receive during an modern day asyrian attack.

maybe some kool aid is coming.

Defiantly a weird article. Obey!!! I get a creepy Jim Jones vibe. But I think LostGeneration is right : they are just too big of an entity to do something like that.

How do I get them to stop houding me?

i stopped attending all meetings this summer.

i prefer not to be dfed or to da myself.

i just want to be inactive.

The most effective way I know of is to move, change your number and ignore emails. One the extreme side, you may be able to file a restraining order? If your going to do anything considered apostasy, don’t get caught. I haven’t moved and plan on putting up Christmas lights and tree in window this year. Someone in my old cong is always in the neighborhood it seems. I haven’t been df’d or da’d but from hearing other’s stories, I know it’s a possibility. Mrs. Dazed thinks their too lazy here to care but we shall see.

I have listened to the podcast twice now. In my English class, I am working on my second essay. It’s a definition essay where the professor gave a list of personality types: snob, bully, con artist ect. “Religious person” was one. I descried to write about the JW’s and this podcast helped remind me of some absurd teachings they have.

I will now be a regular listener to The Thinking Atheist.

Colorado Flooding Near My House

here are some picture in my neighborhood.. our house was not affected.

there is possibly more flash flooding expected tonight.. in the picture below our house sits at the bottom right corner about 2 blocks out of frame.

yesterday and tonight we are staying in another town with family.. .

Our tap water is now safe to drink. Highway 119 – our main road in and out of Longmont and Boulder – is being repaired. Our community is less than a mile from the main river that flooded. We were very lucky our little community didn’t get flooded. There's months if not longer of cleanup and repair left for the affected towns.
